Workshops

If you are feeling inspired and want to have a go for yourself, the workshops provide the opportunity to explore a variety of contemporary craft techniques. In our bright cosy studios above the shop you can learn new and useful skills in an informal and sociable setting and our small class sizes mean more individual attention. On the first floor we have a stitch based workshop with sewing machines, work tables and a large cutting table. The second floor houses our screen printing facilities which include a print table, work tables, wash out bay and sink. Find out here what’s going on in our current programme, or telephone to enquire about bespoke workshop sessions for small groups.

Tutors

All our tutors are experienced and qualified makers. Maxine has an MA in Constructed textiles from the Royal College of Art specialising in embroidery and screen printing, a BA Hons degree in Fine Art and a PGCE from Goldsmiths University. She first learnt to sew with her grandmother and has had many years of experience as an artist, commercial designer and maker, as well as teaching in a variety of settings including both schools and colleges.
